Delivery and refill service
of zero waste goods
The Challenge
The main goal was to create for three months an end-to-end product onboarding experience from the UX research until implementing the website and App which help people reduce waste in daily life, working in a cross-functional product team with a product manager, software engineer, artificial intelligence engineer and interaction designer.

Three months DPS project till the end of March 2020

Problem
Encourage people to follow the zero-waste lifestyle to reduce the amount of waste for environment protection.

Solution
Delivery and refill service, with packaged in reusable deposit containers products.
Step 1. Understanding the problem
We started with Design Sprint which was conducted by Designit to discover pain points in zero waste area
User interviews,
discover the real pain points
What are the biggest difficulties to be zero waste? Why? What do you think supermarkets could improve for zero waste customers? What type of waste you still can't avoid or difficult to avoid? Why? etc.
Lean Canvas/
Empathy map/ Personas
We used Lean Canvas to validate our ideas and concept, filled with Problem Solution pair during Workshop Die Produktmacher.
The quantitative and qualitative data from interviews defined our target group and we created Personas and Empathy map.
HOW MIGHT WE
make living with minimal waste easier?
After all interviews with consumers, supermarket and zero waste managers and workers, we come up with idea to focus on eco-conscious consumers.
Storymap
Creating a Storymap and syncing it with Lean Canvas. We used Storymap to visualize the whole user journey and prioritized tasks to be implemented by the team.
Step 2. Prototyping and user testing
Keep iterating on the prototype using different tools and techniques
Sketches and Wireframes
Circle Web App sketches
Grow clickdummy fidelity through user testing
Circle Web App paper prototype
Sketches and Wireframes
Circle Web App
Paper prototype
Circle Web App

We tried out Hand-drawn technique and Digital Wireframe sketches in UXPin to rapidly generate, evolve, evaluate, and communicate interface and system design for our project.

During "RIP YOUR PRODUCT" session we tested our paper prototype and presented our solution for plastic-free Delivery & Refill Service "CIRCLE" to the DPS Core-team and stakeholders.
Step 3. Run the experiment

Risk Validation & Landing Page Experiments

We launched the Landing Page circlestore.de to test our riskiest assumptions.

With the delivery service, done manually by us, to know the user's feedback and evaluate if the idea creates value for the user.
